App Password (16-Character Code) Do not enter your regular password. Enter a 16-character App Password generated in your email account security dashboard.

How to get your App Password (In-Depth):

1. Open your Google Account page at myaccount.google.com and sign in.
2. Select Security from the left-hand navigation menu.
3. Under the "How you sign in to Google" section, ensure that 2-Step Verification is turned ON. If it is off, click it to enable it first.
4. Click on 2-Step Verification, scroll to the very bottom of the page, and click on App passwords.
5. For the app selector, click Other (Custom name). Type in OpenWave Portal and click Generate.
6. Copy the 16-character code shown inside the yellow pop-up card. **Do not copy the spaces** (e.g. paste it as `abcdefghijklmnop` rather than `abcd efgh ijkl mnop`). Paste it above.

Google Cloud API Configuration (In-Depth):

1. Go to the Google Cloud Console and create a new project.
2. In the search bar at the top, type Google Calendar API, click on it, and click the blue Enable button.
3. Click the menu icon in the top-left, go to IAM & Admin > Service Accounts, and click Create Service Account at the top. Name it, then click Create.
4. Click on the newly created Service Account email in the list. Go to the Keys tab, click Add Key > Create New Key, choose JSON, and click Create to download the file.
5. Open that downloaded JSON file in Notepad. Copy the client_email and the full private_key text blocks and paste them above.

How to create a dedicated bookings calendar:

1. Open Google Calendar in your desktop browser.
2. On the left sidebar, click the + (plus) icon next to "Other calendars" and choose Create new calendar.
3. Name it (e.g., OpenWave Bookings) and click Create.
4. In settings under "Settings for my calendars", click your new calendar, scroll to Integrate calendar, and copy the Calendar ID (looks like an email address) into the field above.
5. Under Share with specific people, click Add People, paste the Service Account client email, set the permissions to "Make changes to events", and click Send.
